Meet Our Staff

After graduating from Lycoming College in 1973, Jim started working in the insurance business for his uncle. On April 1, 1974 he started his own insurance agency in Canandaigua, NY. In the beginning, Jim operated as a Captive Agency, representing one major insurance carrier. On April 1, 1999 he transitioned to the Independent Agency system, giving him the ability to represent several insurance carriers and better serve the clients. Jim has an extensive knowledge of insurance, whether it is auto, home, umbrellas, or commercial. On December 1, 2012, Jim expanded his company with the purchase of a second Insurance Agency located in Brighton, NY.

As a child, Tim would come into the office and help with filing, typing identification cards, and answering phones. He officially joined the family business in November 2001. Tim started as a customer service representative and quickly became an agent. In 2003, he became a licensed Property and Casualty Insurance Agent. Tim has vast experience working with all the products and companies offered by the agency. In 2012, the Tim branched out on his own when the agency purchased a second location in Rochester. Since, Tim has been responsible for the operations of our Brighton office, IT, and Marketing.

Mary Ann started with the Wolfe Insurance Agency in September 1993. She began her career handling claims and selling life insurance. In 2000, she obtained her Property and Casualty Insurance license. Mary Ann has experience in every aspect of the agency. She is the office claims representative, which includes filing claims and guiding clients through the claims process. Mary Ann is involved with new customers, reviewing their coverage, making suggestions, and answering any questions they may have.

Rachel started with the Wolfe Insurance Agency in May 2007 as a summer intern. She obtained her Property and Casualty Insurance License in April of 2012. Starting as a receptionist, Rachel now handles the agencies commercial book of business, including existing clients and prospects.

Trish joined the agency in 2017. She has vast knowledge of all insurance products offered at the J. James Wolfe Agency. Her addition to the staff brings added value as we continue to strive to offer the best possible service to our client’s needs.

Jim started with the J. James Wolfe Agency in 2000 after retiring from teaching. He is responsible for completing the home and commercial property inspections. Jim understands home conditions and takes the digital photos and measurements of every property. You may have seen his favorite yellow pickup truck at a home in your neighborhood.

Caitlin joined the staff at the Wolfe Insurance Agency in August 2019. Working alongside Tim in our Brighton office, Caitlin is responsible for daily transactions and service. In her spare time, Caitlin is attending college online working towards a degree in Internet Technology.
